The evolution of the Internet infrastructure in the course of a few decades has significantly shaped today's societies across the world. It is essential for the computer science and networking community in particular, to address research questions through which the Internet and computer networking technologies are envisioned to be aligned with human and environment-centric values.
This line of work aims to reflect on the technical realisation in the domain of the Internet and its incidence beyond techno-centric contributions. It investigates ethical questions regarding digitial developments, data-driven engineering and the global Internet, especially with respect to teaching and training future practitioners.
We organise a monthly online cafe-philo in computer science to discuss these topics. Please get in touch for more information.
